Phil, W3HZZ, hosted the Glynn County representation at his place on St. Simons Island. Helping him in this rustic, remote location were Pickett, AD4S and Newt, N4EWT.

This was Newt's first "work the entire event" effort so he was anxious to get started and learn some things. He brought his brand new K3 and a new MACbook and was using MAClogger. This is what Phil uses so he had a good teacher.

The weather on Thursday, Friday and Saturday was really cool and really windy right on the ocean so we operated inside for the event on Saturday. Sunday was good enough to move one of the stations outside.

The "Q" count was not as high as we would have wanted but the camaraderie, gourmet meals and visits to evaluate local, long time watering holes kept the count down.

Everyone of us had a grand time and can't wait to go back..! The Chef Graitcer "Shrimp and Grits" are worth the drive down and back..!
